Paid for wheels, no communication!

Melting Slicks
If it is the member I think it is,I don't think that someone planning to rip someone off would post a picture of their car complete with MV registration tag. That's not to say the seller shouldn't hold up his end of the bargain, or contact you, if there is a delay. Unfortuntely some people don't have the same sense of urgency to ship the items, that you did in getting them paid. I've had it happen to me, but it all worked out and was a great deal on the parts. I hope it all works out.

So true. I am not upset that I don't have them yet, I just want the seller to let me know what the delay is!

The moderator Grumpy moved the Part II thread to the moderators corner hoping they can step in and help out. I have not received the wheels or my money back, but I have filed a police report with the Salem PD and have Brian Balzer's phone number, address, and tag number.
So, BRIAN J. BALZER, if you see this thread, you better respond quickly before you end up in cuffs.

Are you going to use an Escrow service in the future? I usually do for anything over $1000 as its cheap when you only pay half and the buyer pays the other half... that way they are getting the security of getting the product in the condition they expect too. Oh well, best of lucky... I feel for ya.

Just got a call from the Salem PD. They are giving the information I sent to the Marion County Sheriff's office since the address is within their jurisdiction. The officer said this is theft by deception, and they can prosecute, especially since I have a copy of the cashiers check, a copy of an e-mail the seller sent verifying reciept of the payment, tag number, address, etc.

Don't let him get out of it by offering to do the right thing now. PROSECUTE him to fullest extent possible. He had many chances to come clean, so make him pay with a criminal record now, if he doesn't already have one. And after he is convicted, or even before, find out where he is stationed and send a copy of everything to the base, so they will also prosecute. They won't do it for the same thing, but they will charge under conduct unbecoming or article 134.
