Well, I finally did it !! Just bought a set of Chrome ZR1's from TomZWheels for my '87 vert. 17x9.5's all around. Got a great Price too.. I got an extra $20.00 discount for being CF member. Now, I have to figure out what Tire to put on 'em

Congrats! I would go with GY Eagle GS-D3 in a 275/40/17 size all around.

I'll check on Good Year.. Right now I have Kuhmos ,but I'm looking at all options.. I wouldn't think the Larger Wheel/Tire combo , should effect the Speedo, as so many owners are putting this size on their vettes.

Well ask yourself how you will drive the car and that will guide you in the right direction as far as tires. Remember that even if you don't race or drive aggresively it would still pay to get the "best" tires that you can. Tires also affect braking distance and sometimes 5 or 10 feet may mean the difference between stopping safely and a trip to the hospital.

As for your speedometer if you stick with the 275/40/17 size you will be fine.
