Default Help! Need opinons on 1966 tire and wheel sizes

I know this has been discussed before but cannot find an answer.
1966 Corvette conv. SB
Want to install
American Torque Thrust II wheels
16x6 front with Firestone SZ50EP 205/60/16
16x7 Rear with Firestone SZ50EP 215/60/16

Question: Will this combo work without modifications? Not too concerned with speedo correction, but physical interference!
Any comments would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Al Hale

Assuming correct backspacing, these will work fine. I run 225/60/15 SZ50s on my '64 with no problems. I have 7" wide Western 32 spoke wheels and run disk brakes on front and drums on rear. 16" wheels will better clear the rear spring than my 15" wheels. The 225s will rub on a steering box carrage bolt on a "lock" left turn, but as the bolt has a round head, this causes no damage. 215s will run on front and would clear this bolt. I've seen 235 and 245s used on midyears when the fender lip is shaved.
