Is there a difference?
Is there a difference between the hoops used on a forged wheel and billet wheels? (Example: HRE vs. Colorado Custom)
I understand that forged wheels are supposed to be stronger and I understand why, but my concern in buying new plus sized wheels is damaging the lip area not the center.
Will a forged wheel be more resistant to potholes bending the lip of the wheel than a non-forged 2 piece wheel?
P.S. No, I'm not considering Colorado Custom wheels for my C5. It's just that I have experience with billet wheels and I have none with forged wheels.

So does the "rolled rim sections" make the rim more resistant to bending?
