bought my first set of custom Forgestars from vendor here.
my usual hole in the wall place charges $15 a tire to mount/balance. but have damaged my race wheels in the past. so decided to take this to a big name store.

they wanted $217 to mount two 315s and two 335s



drove literally right next door to NTB and they charged me $87 out the door. still higher than the 60 id been paying but hopefully for a peice of mind.

Discount charged me 60 for Mount and Balance and disposal of 2 tires last week. Carry in tires.

I literally just got back from my local Discount Tire.

40 minutes to mount/balance and paint the weights black.

New MPSS ZP's.

They price match and charge $19 per for M/B.

Tech had me inspect the new Signature forged wheels after the mounting, they are perfect.

Bagged them and loaded them into the daily.

Yes I made a generous donation the the shop donut fund.

Fast and courteous service. Rare these days but it's still out there.

My experiences have matched yours. Between my home and my office, I am near at least 4 different Discount Tire stores. I have used each one of them a few times, and always got fast and friendly service.

In fact, my best friend and personal mechanic is having his local Discount Tire put new tires on his tow trailer. When he told the store manager we were bringing him the trailer and my new Forgestars to mount Hankooks on, the store manager said "I'll tell you what. I will beat any other store's price on the Hankooks, and I will pick up your trailer and bring it back to you with the Forgestars when everything is done. I live near you." Personal pick-up and delivery? That is virtually unheard of. We are SO inviting the manager to a BBQ. LOL
