I dont remember mine having any metal strips it only had them to hold up the front and back of the headliner. And no problem i spent a month trying to get it figured out so any help i can provide to make somebodys life easier installing it.

I have a 1986 and the metal strip with 3 screws for the 2nd and 3rd bow, I wonder if those metal strips are needed at all.

Hoping i can Bring this thread back to life again.
went through the links here and this link is still active:
https://tech.corvettecentral.com/201...-installation/

it does seem to be fore the tops that had a glass plate instead of a folding plastic one, which is unfortunately what i have on my 1989.
I don't suppose i could get one of those dvds, but if anyone has any info links or tips that would be great
