DIC inop
I have no control over my DIC using the buttons on the dash. I do get alarm information like oil change required or low fuel but can't manaully change any out puts using the buttons.. Please someone tell me what to do

I so bad wanted to make a smart *** comment about your problem but i wont.
This might sound weird but,,,open BOTH doors and shake the rubber accordion tubes that connect the door to the door frame. Then see if the issue is gone. if it is, i have a fix for you.

i know i was digging a hole
I did try shaking the tubes. Should i remove the tube somehow?

Bill I just bought a 2002 Base model. The previous owner told me that the Driver Information Center was intermittent. Well, right now it is completely off and after trying your "shake the accordion tubes" suggestion there has been no change. Any suggestions?

While I am by no means Mr. Curlee, my DIC was intermittent for a while and then got progressively worse. Forum member LickyLou recently had his IPC/DIC repaired successfully — I’ll link that thread at the bottom.
I found a good used IPC with matching part number and closely matching mileage on EBay and swapped its motherboard into my IPC, which fixed all my DIC issues.
