Rare and Special

The term "rare Corvette" is one that arguably gets batted around far more than it should, with owners using essentially any feature, paint color, or option they can to tout their car's uniqueness. However, there are certainly a lot of rare and incredibly valuable Corvettes that have emerged from GM over the years, but this 2010 Dale Earnhardt Hall of Fame Edition model recently offered for sale by RK Motors is easily one of the rarest.

Special Occasion

In fact, this car is one of 10 such special editions built in total, and this one has just 372 miles on the odometer. Clearly, the previous owner knew they had something special, and they certainly do. After all, GM created it specifically to celebrate Earnhardt's induction into the NASCAR Hall of Fame following his passing, and this particular car might just be the most special of the 10 that it ultimately built.

The One to Have?

That's because this specific Corvette is the one that Earnhardt's family drove to Dale's induction ceremony in 2010, and it was subsequently used in holiday parades around Charlotte, where the NASCAR Hall of Fame is located.

Pristine Powerplant

In terms of mechanicals, this special edition Corvette isn't really any different than the rest, as it's packing a 6.2-liter LS3 cranking out 430 horsepower and 424 pound-feet of torque mated to a six-speed automatic. Regardless, it's clean and tidy sitting inside the engine bay, as one would expect given the car's ultra-low mileage total.

One Cool Feature

The same goes for the interior, which looks basically brand new and is equipped with black leather seating, paddle shifters, power accessories, OnStar, and pretty much everything else one would expect to find inside of a C6 Corvette. However, the passenger side sun visor has been signed by Teresa Earnhardt - Dale's wife - making it a bit more special.

Familiar Livery

That isn't the case on the outside, where this HoF Corvette proudly touts what it's all about via Dale's signature black paint, coupled with red and silver accents, Hall of Fame markings, Earnhardt's own likeness and signature, "Continue the Legend" script, and a windshield banner, to boot.

Piece of History

This 2010 Dale Earnhardt Hall of Fame Edition Corvette is a pretty cool piece of automotive and NASCAR history, if nothing else, and it's nice to see that at least one of the original 10 is still around. It's unclear how much the car sold for, but we imagine that it commanded a healthy premium given its rarity, historical prominence, and the love that people still have for Earnhardt today - more than 20 years after his passing.
