Kelley Blue Book Overheats the New Corvette Z06

That’s how Kelley Blue Book begins their video review below of the new Chevy C7 Corvette Z06. Which certainly seems like a promising start. Then the trusted outlet goes on to talk about the brilliant power delivery, the brakes that have the stopping power of a brick wall, and the overall usability of the new car. But while the majority of the review is full of the same glowing things we’ve been hearing about since the launch of this absurd car, one part of the review doesn’t exactly go as we might have hoped.

While KBB was lapping the new Corvette, on a perfectly normal weather day, the old issue of overheating reared its ugly head once again. Now for those that don’t know, Chevy has been having major overheating problems with this new car. The problem seems to stem from the over-clocked supercharger, and Chevy has stated that the company is looking into the problem. However, that hasn’t stopped a handful of owners from grenading their engines, as well as a few journalists from experiencing this issue as well.

This isn’t exactly how Chevy wanted things to go. And, if they want to remain on top of the performance heap and take on the new Viper ACR, the company is going to need to come up with a solution. Fast.
