The C4 was a complex and ever evolving creature, and though it was popular, the differences between years, models, and options is enough to make your head spin. This video goes in depth, covering things such as VIN decoding, VATS (and why it was made by the devil), RPO codes that will help you make sure that your car has the Z51 suspension that the seller claims, as well as other option codes that should be on your car.
It also goes through the differences between the early and late C4s. On the outside there’s only a few tweaks, but on the inside, it’s like a whole different car. In later examples, gone is the ’80s digi-dash in favor of one that isn’t as blatantly dated. These might be things you already know, but if you’re buying the car, it’s worthwhile to have one that fits what you want, instead of just going for whatever is cheap or available.
