Default I must be getting older, I like chrome!

I been viewing the cars on different threads, and I see the younger guys, are going to black EVERYTHING! wheels, exhaust tips, blacked out lights, signals, emblems, exterior, interior, etc
Is this a sure sign that I'm getting OLD? I still like the bling, give me chrome, anything that is shinny, like the good ol days !!
I watch BJ the other weekend, the old cars had soooo much chrome, and looked really good, and getting big $$$$$ (but then again, its the older guys buying)
where is the future going?

Dunno where the future is going but, before Hameister chimes in, let me say black wheels are part of a subversive communist plot to overthrow Wall Street and take from the rich to give to the poor.

Oh come on, it is not. It's gangsters and organized crime trying to subvert the government. Everyone knows that.

While i am still young compared to you old farts (LOL JK!), i actually came from liking chrome TO liking black touches on my cars.

I am only 32 but i remember when i first got my car, i chromed out my whole engine bay, a crappy honda civic lol, didn't have chrome wheels but some silver wheels. Next car or i believe car after that i can't remember i had chrome wheels. I loved it. This was like 2000 or 2001 btw. As i got older, i liked the sinister look of having black accents on my cars. I think i started in 2006.

Right now my GS has chrome wheels. I like the actual wheel but i HATE chrome. I immediately ordered black wheels and i can't wait til they come in so i can throw them on. Then you chrome lovers will have a chance to buy my wheels if you want lol.

Count me in with the chrome crowd too. I never got the whole black out thing, but to each his own.

PS: to me, black wheels look like they are dirty with a ton of brake dust.

going heavy into black is a trend, but chrome has, and will continue to be very popular.

Most of them are...the owners are too lazy to wash the wheels!
Jeez, I hate to say this but I kinda (ok, barely) like black wheels with an accent stripe that is body color...unless the car is black, of course.

As a young old guy (67), consider polished aluminum! Ah crap, pass me the drool bucket.

At 64, I actually like both.

The sinister/murder look is nice, to a point. As is chrome.

Personally, I like polished/chrome, but I understand that everyone has different taste. I just think that the polished wheel sets off the car, especially for darker colors. White and yellow are the only two colors that I think black wheels look ok, and just ok.

37 here and I'll take chrome over black. Nothing against black and it looks great on some cars.

Both are too extreme!
Black vs. chrome...ugh.
Factory option - aluminum 2011's looked good to me - so I ordered them!

I've never been a fan of black wheels. Give me chrome!
