Default 6 Speed guys which trans

With the higher hp cars which trans are you using, T-56 or TR6060? I am at the point where I going to have the trans upgraded and don't know if I want to go with a level 5 T-56 or swap over to a built TR6060. Right now I am at 700 hp and have plans to build a motor later this year or next and try to reach 1000 hp.

Should just bolt in on C6, except you'll need to add a cooler for the transmission and cut-out in the torque tube to run the lines.

Why would you need to add a cooler to the 6060???

Because it has a pump up front to spray lube on the gears and bearings to keep them cool and lubricated, especially under hard acceleration, when the fluid is pushed rearward and away from the front bearings.

That's one of the reason to get the TR6060.

Are you sure? I was under the impression that the input shaft has to be changed to mate with the diff or something like that.

The older differentials need to get the pinion updated to a 30 spline or just swap out for a Z06 differential.

RKT56 or RPM can supply with the needed stuff.

Anyone ever tried a "Tranzilla" I always see advertised for in Hot Rod? Says it will handle 1200hp.

They have more synchro problems. When they made the gears wider they had to shorten the synchros so they are not as tolerant to abusive driving.
The OP asked about power; the 6060 will handle more HP no questions asked.
