Yesterday, I was driving my Vert in a heavy rain on the interstate... (I know..I know..."are you nuts??") I drive mine everyday and it's a show car..anyway, every time a vehicle passed me and kicked up a lot of water, a leak would appear on the driver's side corner where the roof meets the windshield. It was completely dry on the passenger side.
When I say leak, I mean a steady stream of H2O (like the above picture) and it was getting my left knee all wet once the car/truck passed, the stream would become a drip-drip-drip. It's never done that before. I checked the weather strip..good shape.
Any thoughts, ideas or suggestions???

Hi v75,
Could be a windshield leak or a leak between the tips header weatherstrip and the windshield header,
Have you tried tightening the adjustment on the left side latch a bit?
Regards,
Alan

So if I read what you wrote....when you were driving in the rain...this drip was not dripping. Correct?
And the ONLY time it dripped was when a car kicked up a lot of water?
And if this 'drip' is where the T-top w/strip meets the pillar post w/strip.
Doing what Alan advised is possible....because sometimes the rubber pad on the bolt that is in your T-top handle may be worn and needing to be replaced....OR...
You have window adjustment problem or the window was not up all the way even though you thought it was. Open the door and raise that window and see if it goes up before you do anything else. The reason is this....when the door is closed and you roll the window UP...there is a chance that w/strip hinders the door glass from gong all the way up. I have seen it more times than I can count.

i would take a garden hose and start flooding the windshield and side window down low and slowly work your way up until it appears. It will give you and idea where to start. my top leaks where it meets in the center but its a drip. I sounds like your windshiel may have seperated from the birdcage somehow. I had that happen with a new windshield once years ago in a mitsubishi. flooded the fuel injection computer.

Everything DUB said, applies to a convertible too.
70-75 convertibles use the same rubber tipped adjusters on the top handles, as T-Tops do.
I think I would check the condition and adjustment of the front latch adjusting bolts first. Then I'd check the fit and adjustment of your side glass, including it's fit to the A-pillar weatherstrip. I'd also consider pulling the top windshield header molding, check the condition of the windshield frame, and reseal the frame in the area where top windshield and header moldings meet.
Below is the adjusting bolt used on all 69-77 T-Top, convertible and hardtop latches.

I am still waiting on a response to the 2 questions I asked in POST# 3.
I know these question may seem insignificant...but there is a reasson I am asking.
Also knowing the EXACT place the water was dripping from would help. A photo of this location would be best if possible.
