Chevrolet stunned the world recently, debuting the all-electric Corvette CX and V8-hybrid Corvette CX.R Vision Gran Turismo at Monterey Car Week. Two sleek, 2000+ horsepower design concepts that, most likely, give enthusiasts our closest preview yet of what future generations of America’s Sports Car might look like after we say goodbye to the C8 generation. At the time, Chevy announced that the new concepts would soon become playable on Gran Turismo 7 as part of a future update.

The Gran Turismo series has long offered the chance to drive current, future, and classic Corvettes. And Gran Turismo 7 is no different. • 1963 Corvette Split-Window (C2)
  • 1969 Corvette Stingray (C3)
  • 1969 Corvette Convertible (C3)

Basically, an all-star collection of some of the greatest Corvettes to ever roll off a Bowling Green assembly line. Although, if it were me, I’d add the option to drive an LS7-based C6 Z06 with a hot, lumpy cam. Or the LT6-powered C8 Z06, which features the highest-revving naturally aspirated V8 in Corvette history. Or both.

Gran Turismo

Developed by Sony for the original PlayStation, the sim-racing game Gran Turismo debuted in 1997 and was an immediate, worldwide phenomenon, shipping 10.85 million units during its run. It has spawned numerous sequels, Olympic esports competitions, and a tournament called GT Academy, which allowed gamers a chance to compete to become real-world racecar drivers. A scenario that was then turned into a movie. Gran Turismo 7, available for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, launched in 2023.
