RPM Boosted C6 Corvette Z06 Chases 7s

Race Proven Motorsports takes their boosted C6 Corvette Z06 out to play at the Haltech World Cup finals hosted by Maryland International Raceway. The build for the car, as highlighted in the video below, is quite impressive, as the parts list looks quite a bit like a wish list for many of us. Starting off with a 427 LSX small block, an F1C-91 procharger was added, along with All Pro heads, Holley intake, Holley Dominator ECU,  RPM Transmissions Powerglide gear box, a Neal Chance Converter coupled to that transmission, and a DSS 9-inch rear end to round off the drive line.

Though the first launch in the video would send the pucker factor up in any drag racer, the following passes hurl this Z06 into the low 8s. Successive passes thereafter make this thing look like it can launch on ice. There’s even an impressive near photo finish with one Mustang competitor, as they both cross the line at 8.29 seconds. And that’s not even the fastest run. To see if this boosted ‘Vette actually got into the 7s, have a gander below.
