High Speed Concern: Corvette Stability at 190-Plus

high speed

Corvette Forum member moon2605 recently noticed that above a certain speed, the C7 Z06 seems to have some side to side movement. That’s something I’d find concerning at triple digit speeds, but moon2605 says that it’s not really a concern about stability or safety, but rather that a car tracking true can eke out a higher speed. I love those kinds of priorities.

With the C7 Z06 being fairly new, alignment of the car is the most likely cause. Even when a car like the Z06 leaves the factory, things can be tweaked a bit here and there for better performance in one way or another. There might be an alignment trick alone that’ll help get those few extra horsepower to break the 200mph barrier for this car.

And yes, moon2605’s Z06 does have a few things done to it. But as you can see in the PDR video below, even with a little side shimmy, he reaches some very respectable speeds. We cant wait to see it officially break 200!
