OPTIMA Presents Corvette of the Week: Arctic White Adrenaline

C7 Corvette Stingray Home

Around Christmas of 2012 when I first saw the C7 Corvette’s rear end in leaked drawings posted on our forum, I was arrested with horror.

Leaked C7 Rear End

It was an unflattering first impression, kind of like meeting your future spouse when they’re covered in sewage.

A few weeks later when the C7 was publicly introduced at the 2013 North American International Auto Show, I found the rear fascia more appealing, but I still wasn’t completely sold on it. When I first saw the car and its controversial rump in person, I officially illuminated the “Like” button in my brain, provided the C7 was painted a dark color. In the ensuing months, as expected, the rear end grew on me even more, but the only color I still couldn’t handle was Arctic White — it reminded me of the horror I felt when I saw that drawing.

This Corvette (above) changes that for me. Recently purchased by Corvette Forum member WLDvette13, this Arctic White C7 with the carbon fiber roof just does it for me, and because this Stingray has changed my mind about Arctic White C7s, it gets the nod for Corvette of the Week.
