RK Motors ’57 Roadster Makes You Love Corvette Even More

In case, you haven’t noticed by now I have a serious love affair with classic Corvettes. I can’t shake it, won’t try, and beauties like this one are one of the reasons why.

This 1957 Roadster, which is being showcased by RK Motors Charlotte, is a shining example of why the love for Corvettes has such a long and deep history.

Featuring an Onyx Black and Inca Silver paint job, the car was owned for 25 years by the same family. She received a full restoration in 2002 but is still powered by a correct 283 cubic inch V8 with a 4-speed manual transmission. Best yet, she only has 14,739 miles on the odometer.

The interior, which is beige, features everything that we’ve come to love about classics including retro gauges, Chevy’s traditional dual-cowl dash, and the classic chrome shifter and steering wheel. But it’s all that history wrapped in that color combo accented in chrome that makes me wish I had that $145,000 asking price.
