84 power antenna problems

84 power antenna problems
I just had a shop install an aftermarket radio in the 84. It sounds great, but after a minute or 2 the antenna automatically goes back down. Do I need this part to fix it? http://forums.corvetteforum.com/showthread.php?t=936533
Is there any way to fix this without buying specialty parts that might be unavailable? Thanks.

Your stereo has to supply a constant 12 volts to your antenna relay to stay in the up position. If the relays is failing or the power to it is cut off, down goes antenna.
