Default Amp Wiring Question
Well after 2 weeks of no progress on the Bose replacement i'm back on the job
Can i get away with a 10ga power wire for a 4x75 amp ?

is 75w the RMS rating?

is so, I think you shoud go with 8ga without a doubt...

The manufacturer suggests something bigger than 10 but won't go ahead and suggest 8 or any gauge for that matter. I have a spool of 10 kickin around so i thought i would ask.

how long of a wire are you going to use? 8 ga will be fine and 10 will probably work depending on how long you need it to be

I'd go with 8. Its better to be safe than sorry, and to overdo it rather than underdo it and heat the wire (doubt it would, but I guess it could happen)

Picked up some 8 ga and a few solder lugs.
Any easy route through the firewall ??
