Ah the first thread you've started. Assumes nobody has ever said this before. Claims that your subjective opinion is objective by comparing it to another of your subjective opinions. Bashes the majority of forum members.
If you are going to stamp out redundancy and subjective opinions on this site you better get to work. That’s usually 75% of the posts on any forum, so you’ve got a lot of posting to do. Go get’em, make sure they all search first, and keep their stupid opinions to themselves.
BTW why did you skip over the other 1000 posts today that had redundant information and subjective opinions in them and stick your nose into mine? Did my post hurt you?
It was pretty pointless. I was a little thin skinned and shouldn't have deleted it. Long story short, it was Bose bad, aftermarket good. I was commenting on how much I enjoy my stereo. One sub, and a set of components in the doors, two amps and a CD player. Couldn't be happier, I recommend it to anyone.

I only really had one problem with the factory Bose system, the sound. Well, that, and no easy/cheap way to connect the iPod directly. Welcome to the forum.

Oh, the sound, that's not a problem right?
There's no adaptar that would fit the system to hook up the iPod. No FM modulater or tape adapter?

Yes, there is an adaptor that uses the factory CD changer cable (ifyou have one), that gives you RCA inputs to the AUX on the Bose system. Since I don't have a factory CD changer, I would have needed to buy both the cable, and the adaptor. Together, over $150 if I remember correctly. And for that I would still have suboptimal sound. I wasn't interested in an FM modulator solution.
So, the choice was to spend $150 for one alternative, or to rip the whole thing out and spend, well slightly more, to be in sonic bliss. Budget sonic bliss, but bliss nonetheless.
