I just got 2 10" MB Quart RWE 254 Reference Subs. they handle 300watts max i believe....what is a good amp to push them. I dont want to spend over $200-250.
Also, can i add tweeters to the stock bose headunit??
ok so if you have 2 (2x4) subs with rec. wattage raiting of 300 watts rms each.
That means you can either get a:
-mono amp that can run ~600 watts @ 4 ohms... i think this maybe expensive for a quality amp
-a 2 chan amp that is stable at 2 ohm and can run close to ~300 watts a chan.
-or get a 4 chan amp that can handle 2 ohms when bridged... this will be rare in an amp in that price range
I would recommend looking for a used jl audio, a phoenix gold, or xtant.
I would actually try to exchange them for the 2x2ohms. that way you can get a mono amp that can handle two ohms easily?
