Default What is this for??

On my CDT crossover it has choices for +3db.....0db or -3db I assume thats for the tweeters but what exactly does that control??

Im trying to decide where to set it because it will be mounted inside the door and I dont plan on taking my door panel off again for a while.

That is for your tweeter and it changes the volume of the tweeter. The 0db is a reference to the mid driver. +3db will be 3 db up from the reference point and -3db will be 3 db down. The purpose for this is tweeter placement. Sometimes the tweeter will be in a position that needs extra adjustment. So lets say the tweeter is very bright...too loud. You can adjust it 3db down on the xover or vise versa. It is very nice tool to have.
