Steve, I have one of your boxes for my Z06 and couldn't be happier. Steve answered more than one of my e-mails. He also took the time to answer my questions regarding the stereo equipment that I was planning on using for my install. I would highly recommend one of Steves boxes to anyone. I am glad to hear that you guys have settled your differences.

With that said, This was a c4 box. I don't have a c4. I can only work off of dimensions that were provided to me by other c4 owners of which I fully trust as reliable sourcse. That box was a true custom box. Only the second box of that particular design that was built. Much different than the C5 boxes we do all the time so please don't generalize my company based on that. I can't make everybody happy all the time. I bust my butt to try to help guys out and this is the thanks I get. If you would have communicated at all to me, then I would've been much abliged to help you out with correcting the problem. All you gotta do is say hey, my box needs to be 2 inches wider or whatever and I'd build another and stretch it out for you. But now you've kinda t'd me off by degrading the build quality of the box. Send it back if you like. If all you're worried about is getting your money back, I will do so. It's obvios I'm never gonna make you happy no matter what. Somebody else would kill to have a box like that. I'd rather send it to someone who would be grateful to have a nice box than all your complaining and bashing.

I told you when you ordered--that the box would be taller like that and that I wasn't making any more of the kind that went down into the C4's side storage areas. I had a twin to your box here that was ready to ship and I offered to take pics of it e-mail them to you so you could see what it would look like. But you said naw I didn't need to do that. I wish I would've anyway and maybe could have avoided all this confusion. The 6" depth on that box is more than the side storage box I used to make so I dunno what that is about. Recessing the sub will only decrease the mounting depth.

And don't give me hard time about the time frame either. You have absolutely NO idea how much stuff we have going on and how many boxes we are trying to get out the door in the limited time frame and limited facilities we have to work in. I shoulda just refused to do it in the first place considering all the other stuff we are backed up with. I truly didn't want to do it anyway because it slows down our production stuff to try to squeeze in a custom jobber and all the added pressure. It didn't take 2 weeks to build it. It took about a week before I could even get to it. I know you don't understand why I can't just drop everything I'm doing and do your box right away. But there are others waiting patiently in line in front of you and that's the way it is.

And If you called here, then you could have just left a message. I have a machine bro. So I don't wanna hear all that about not answering the phone. When I am in the shop with the table saw and compressor and router all going at once and my heaing pretection on, it's very hard to hear the phone ringing Duh. I believe it states that right on the website next to the phone number. We are not a huge corporation with a dozen secretaries ready to pounce on every call. That's what e-mail is for so I can answer any questions when I get to my pc and have a chance to go thru them. We are just a small shop trying to make some boxes to put food on the table. Not some 24 hour tech line with a warehouse full of custom boxes ready to pull off a shelf and load on a truck.

The terminals on the box can be swapped out with any kind you'd like to put in it. They are the same kind that JL uses in their boxes. I'm not gonna order 500 terminals (my usual order) and pay 5-8 bux a piece for fancy *** gold terminals, that would be retarted--do the math, that's a lot of cash to drop for terminals. The ones that came in the box work fine and nobody has ever had a problem with them except you. It sounds like you just want a buch of stuff to complain about without offering any positive suggestions or ways to improve the current design.

All I wanted to do is add some c4 boxes to the lineup to help out some of the other guys that don't have the time or tools to do it themselves, but if it's going to be impossible to make anyone happy, then I will stick with the C5 stuff. I know the c5 guys like their boxes. Ask pyro and some of the others.
Dam Shaq,

That was a slam dunk! Yuu gave it to him without the vaseline!
Not to worry I will be making an order soon! How far out should I order my box if I have a scheduled install job for the 15 June!

Also, i have seen your C5 Box up close, and they are the Shiznit!

Free!

Not to beat a dead horse, but I feel the need to rave about Steve and his service. I ordered a box for my C5 and it was in the mail the next day. I have NEVER received service that fast. The quality of the box is great and although it has not been installed yet, I know it is going to look fabulous! Price wise, I think the cost is worth it. I know many feel they can build one for less, but for those of us who can't, or simply don't want to, it is a welcomed service. As a result of this transaction, Steve and I emailed each other back and forth about other possibilities and I must say, I found Steve to be very personable and attentive. I can say I think Steve is a stand-up guy and will certainly do business with him again...Thanks for all you do for the Corvette Community Steve!

Well, I just placed my order for a 12" flush C5 box for my Z06. Can't wait to get it! Dropping in a Phoenix Gold 12D4 ZR Octane sub into it. It should hit nicely!!

UPS should be bringing me my subthump today. I am very curious how it will fit. I am concerned how the factory cover, and a think mat over the top of the sub will dampen the sound.

I guess I'll find out.

Got the subthump. I had to remove my reflex sound dedener I had in the compartment, to get the stealth box to fit.

Is the Subthump as nice as the 600 JBL=no

Is the Subthump the best 150 I have spent on my car=yes

Subthump gets an a+ from me, for value and service.

I finally put my subthump in the center storage area. The sub fit perfectly as did the box. Definitely impressed!!

The only thing I would question is why was it made from 1/2" MDF instead of 3/4"?

Otherwise $200 shipped wouldn't be too bad compared to local audio shops...they would charge twice that.

I'm just lucky enough to have a full shop with a tablesaw and 15 years of car audio experience so I can turn out any enclosure I want in my backyard.

But $200 would be worth it to someone that doesn't have the equipment or skills to build one.

You get happy customers and unsatisfied customers. It happens all the time. I have many products that doesn't live up to my expectation. I let it go and move onto something else that fits me.

I wonder if your email isn't getting removed by a SPAM filter or something somewhere... if you are emailing from hotmail or yahoo mail or something it is very likely. With no promise of a sale to me whatsoever Steve has answered every question I have emailed him on the same day I sent the message or at the latest the following morning. We traded at least 4 or 5 emails last week and I finally ordered a box from him last Friday.

Try sending an email from a different address.

I just stop by to pick up my PM here, I no longer will have anything to do with the people on the Corvette Forum, so keep my name out of it.
