delco bose question
i have a 84 vette with the delco bose am/fm/cass, and i'm looking for is a delco bose CD unit, my question is what other vehicles could i possibily check out for a cross over? and also on the aftermarket units i noticed that some are titled (w/bose) and (w/o bose).......... could someone explain the difference here?

Bose uses a line level output to feed amps at each speaker.
Non-bose is internally powered, much like aftermarket units.
The Camaro 4th gen heads are compatible with an adaptor.
This needs to be in Audio... there are lots of things there to help you.

I think you can get an idea of what fits what at the Dr. dons web site, to name one. Second, if you are interested, I just removed an updated CD Delco/Bose from my 88 that I purchased reconditioned from the doctor. I'm pretty sure it would fit yours. Let me know, I'd like to sell it for around 250.....

You can go to MAM's Web site, too. They have an O.E.M.-looking Delco/Bose head unit with CD player, but it ain't cheap.
In fact, you'd surely do better on the aftermarket or at Dr. Don's (he's the man) unless you're heck-bent on Bose.

check out www.mnrelectronics.com they have the delco bose cd for the 84-89 vetts for $400..everyone else i found sells the same unit for $550
