On the H/U underneath the unit is a small silver sticker, peel this back. There are two contacts with the label "R197" or label “F197” there should be two soldier points loop a wire between those two points AND DONE!!!! Everything bypassed, this is the way I did it and it works fine the silver sticker is under the avic-n2 factory harness. after you are done with that put the h/u. in the mount and screw it in now just reverse everything you did to uninstall and your done. If anyone has any questions about this send me a pm. I will post more pics soon. The system is in and works great.
So has anyone done this? This is the only thing that is holding me back from getting one.. my Old pioneer is still kicking and i have a dvd player under the seat so i can play it during the drive.. but i would like to replace it soon

I am going to wire up my avic today (I hope) if I get the alignment the way I want it. Can anyone confirm that the jump described above will work without blowing up the unit??

Thanks,
