How big is your stereo if its small to none 4gauge will be fine but at the same time its a minimal price difference between 4 and 0ga

Description
4 Awg Big 3 Upgrade Kit
Includes 4Awg Wire & Accessories :
3 ft. ground to chassis (silver)
4 ft. ground to engine block (silver)
8 ft. power to alt ( blue)
2 packs of ring terminals
$35.00

Price seems a little high. If you have a local Audio/Electronics store locally, you may be able to purchase each of the items and get the same thing for cheaper. I know its only $35.00, but you will have shipping also. Never hurts to save a little.

As far as the crimp thing people have mentioned, you can also use a hammer and the garage floor.

I'm not trying to be argumentative but the dif between 4-guage and 0-guage is not minimal (sorry pentavolvo ) and I think $35 is about right for the kit (as long as they don't rape you for S/H) It also looks like they include extra terminals which is good cause once in awhile you screw them up :o

No need to apologize man its cool. To me for what you are doing the 15 dollars isn't alot of money, because Ive done the big 3 enough times... unless you plan on putting in a huge stereo though 4ga is more then enough. If you screw up your ring terminals let me know ill drop some in an envelope and send some to you

sweet
will you send me new fingers too
I've done 0-guage in my 3 major cars (4-guage in the SUV, 1000 watts rms) but each car is running about 2000 watts rms. The weak Talon's 75 amp altenator needs all the help it can get.

you don't need crimpers if you have solder and a mini torch. thats how i installed my ring terminals (4 gauge...i only have one 3 chan amp). what you do is melt a bunch of solder into the cup of the o-ring and then drop your wire into that and let cool. It's been a solid connection for about a year for me.

well sir, seeming as you have some some the same equipment that i have in my truck, (edi6500s, 2 13ov.2's, nine.1, nine.2) I would recommend 0 gauge wiring, and possibly a battery upgrade also. I'm not sure what the oem vette alt is rated at, but I went ahead and put a yellow top in as well. With 0 gauge, I crimped with a hammer at first, but then I ended up using old-school screw-down industrial terminals and a battery bolt down kit. after a few bad experiences with the massive optima sliding forward and ripping my wiring out of the terminals. I went with knukonceptz wiring, but this was before eD had announced their wiring line. I would definitely recommend the old-school terminals, which can be had at any local autoparts store. these greatly reduce the immense frustration of trying to shove a wire the size of a celery stick into a terminal. also, have an exacto on hand, as just circling the wire with the knife eases stripping, and thinning the wire helps for use too. As for the big three itself, i would recommend the eD kit, as the wire is good quality and the extra money is worth the frustration of waiting for parts that you forgot to come in and parts broken while trying to get things to work. A personal tip: use a rotozip w/a sander head to get down to pure metal on all of your mounting points, or all of your work will have been in vane. Sorry for the long post, hopes this helps!

p.s.- ignore the questionable reputation that eD has online, I have had used many of their products, and all though all of the pre-orders can be frustrating, the purity and loudness of my system still amazes me and everyone that has ever listened to it. You will love it!

i say go with the optima, there is a reason why you see them in all the show cars... they are the best. a little more money but worth it over the life of the battery
