Tried to view your photos but only red" X" right clicked and still no photos
Focal 7'
DLS Iridium 305" mids
Focal TN51 tweets nice choices
I have been checking out both brands and didn't know you could mix and match
I have the 3 speakers on a 4 (really 5) channel amp with the 3" mid/tweet on the front 2 channels and the 7" midbass on their own 2 channels. I would estimate that each channel is getting about 70 watts of really clean power. All gains are at minimum and the deck will play unclipped to 80/80. Right now about 74 is really f***ing loud (but really clear) and anything beyond that will make you want to get out of the car
Generally cruising around I listen at about 60 .. 65 is really loud enough.Crossovers are being handled by the headunit (3 way adjustable 6/12/18/24 db slope options for lp on sub, bandbass on mid, hp on mid/tweet). Right now I have the sub at 63hz on an 18db slope with the midbass at 63hz on a 24db slope up to 500hz on a 24db slope and the mid from 500hz at a 24db slope up to 3.5k (on a 12db slope through a 3 way Focal passive crossover) with the tweet playing at 3.5k and up on a 12db slope as well (passive). Tweeter is down 4db.
I have the guy I picked up the Focal stuff from looking in to a custom crossover for me with a steeper slope and a higher HP filter for the tweet. The mid will play comfortably up to around 6k hz and I would like to use it a bit more for ... somewhere around 4k at an 18db or so rolloff. The tweet with its 12db rolloff seems to me to be struggling a bit at an octave below (about 2.5k) and should really not be trying to play it IMO.
Overall I am seriously impressed with the midbass, mid and the SQ of the Eclipse 8053, and the Genesis amp is nothing short of awesome. I catch myself listening to tracks that I know every note of and hearing something I have never heard before, thinking to myself it was a rattle, rewinding and listening again and realizing it was a finger slide on a guitar string that I have never heard before
If anyone is considering doing a 3 way set up (this is my first after many many system builds) I highly recommend it for our cars since we have the room to do it. A crossover/HU/processor of some sorts preferably with some EQ ability would be a necessity IMO though. Going to have a look around at my gimp little web page and hope to have some much higher quality shots of it in the coming days.
Thanks again for the kind words guys much appreciated

i looked on amazon last night and they list some used ones on there. or try ebay.
any of the sheffield cd's will sound great because they use a live 2 track recording system to capture all of the energy of the performance.
every time i listen to the sheffield jazz experience i am blown away at how well it sounds!

Hopefully final pics will be posted inside a week or so. With very minimal tuning and almost zero EQ'n I could not be happier at this point. Borrowing a friends RTA next week to get some baselines and to smooth a couple of peaks that I think I have and hopefully be done done
