Avic-z1
I wanted to share my latest weekend warrior project on my 2006 C6. This weekend, I installed the the Pioneer AVIC-N1 with a Bluetooth Adapter, added Sirius Radio to it. I used the BKGMK382 Dash Kit from Best Kits, and to keep the Chimes, I used the GMCO from Peripheral. I also had to get the antenna adapter for GM, as well as the Pioneer CD-IB100II (ipod Adapter) and now, that everything is said and done, I have to say, I love it. I am able to Navigate, change locations, play a DVD, record music, or just chill with Satellite radio and enjoy the ride. The Head Unit is a perfect fit in the dash, and everything is touch screen or voice command. I am able to navigate while playing a movie, and change routes at any given time, even while in motion. Bluetooth connects automatically when you crank the car up, and the hands free talking is really beneficial. All of the items I installed, can be found on this website: http://www.discountcarstereo.com/detail.aspx?ID=946 Now, as with everything electronic, as soon as you get it, it is obsolete......I just hope the Z2 won't be in that much of a hurry to come out. I have the terrible habbit of upgrading often
Oh, and PS.: for those of you wondering if I connected the VSS to the headunit....no, I didn not, and it works like a charm.
Thanks
