A company called American International makes them. I work at a stereo shop and have put those into a few cars. what HU did you get? The have some pretty cool stuff out there. GPS/Nav/Dynamics all kinds of stuff. But it you go to a stereo shop they should have those on hand for around 10 bucks(our price). Not hard to put in the usually have directions for the little bit of assembly they require, its only 4 pieces i think. Let me know if you have any questions on how to bypass the safetys on it so you can watch movies while you drive.

I think you read C6... the C5 has a 1.5 Din radio bezel. Is that the piece you're referring to? Everyone i know has to cut it up and move everything down, lose the ash tray and what not.

I am actually considering buying some dash consoles for the C5's and starting to make some for those guys that need them. They send me their dash console piece, and I send them a converted one back. I have been thinking about it for a while now, as I am a capable professional installer with loads of custom work under my belt... I just need to break down and do the first one. I will eventually add that to my online store. For now though, if you need me to work on your center console dash, I am sure there are plenty of people here on the CF that can vouch for my work, and I am sure we can come to some sort of an agreement... Just trying to help you out. Let me know...

if you do do this let me know and i can walk you through the process. i've done it with fiberglass. one with bondo and epoxy, and one with abs sludge. the sludge method is by far the best way of doing it.

I've thought about doing it, but then i get scared. lol. I'd rather someone that knows what they're doing do it. And I'll pay them for their troubles.
it's really easy, and the great thing about working with plastic is; if you screw up..just add more and sand more :-). c5kidd will do the mod for you but he doesn't retexture it, rather he paints them with auto paint. regardless of who does it, it'll probably cost you about $350+ to mod the bezel you provide. if you do it yourself, you'll be out about $30 in supplies. $70 to get it retextured to match the factory finish from leather magic. if you do it yourself with sem auto finishes you'll save probably another $30.

Hi Dave: I have an Eclipse AVN 5435 I purchased about 18 months ago and have not installed it because I did not want to cut up my dash. I would, like other pay you to do my dash. I almost purchased one from Fred Beans I think they are about $70.00 and then I would have a backup after I destroyed my original one, anyway I will pay you to one for me. There were several treads on the Forum on the 5435 on the install but I really don't want to tackle the plastic work. Thank you

I had an Eclipse AVN 5435 installed after one of our local guys got it done (both installed at the same place) and all they had to do is shave the first bar under the radio a bit to fit the 7" screen in. SO WHAT BAR ARE YOU REFERING TO? IS IS THE SUPPORT BRACKET FOR THE EXISTING BOSE RADIO OR SOMETHING ON THE NEW UNIT?
Thanks for to input! Your Vette is GREAT!!!

he's talking about the plastic bar on the console piece, looks like about 2/3rds of it is shaved off
