Delco TheftLoc Question
Hopefully someone can help me with this or at least point me in the right direction.
I'm putting Sirius in my daughter's 1998 Pontiac Sunfire. No big deal there. But I'm also swapping out her stock radio with a different Delco unit (correct for her car, just a different model) that also has a Delco remote 12-disk CD changer in the trunk.
Again, no big deal.
BUT.......the new radio I want to install has the TheftLoc activated and I don't know the code to unlock it. I do not have the VIN of the vehicle the new radio came out of.
Can I bypass or unlock it or will I have to take the car to a GM dealer to have it unlocked? If so, whats their process for doing it and how much will they charge? If I have to go to a dealer must the radio be installed in the car or can they unlock it on the bench?
