Roll call for Chicago audio gathering
Racing was good....ya'll have cold weather in MI.
We got 4 firsts, 1 second, 1 third, and 1 fourth. We didn't make it to the finals in only one class all weekend. There is only one more race to go...in Canada in two weeks. Should be fun as I hear we are having a pretty big party at one of our friend's house.
test drove 2 cars this weekend, rx8 and gto
Rx-8 sweet looking love the styling inside and out, but ill tell you what i was very disapointed with its performance, and yes i drove the 6spd but my god was it a dawg and lets just say i pulled to redline in just about every gear even on the highway at speed it was a dog. 6 bagner camaros could take this IMO.
Now the GTO wow 400hp LS2 what a sick car, we know the women who works at the dealership i went over there witha friend she said the only way we were driving it was if we drove like 20 year old teenage boys my friends eyes lit up. After crusin for a while engine warm she says feel free to turn traction control off which I planned on doing. Saleswomen is mid 30s and fine. So we are coming to a right turn on red I hit it WOT kick it way sideways in first grab 2nd get sideways again and just keep the car goin straight hook up keep it flored chirp 3rd and just kept it down did well in excess of 100 was quite fun.
Thats all for now... GTO isnt gonna happen although I want one I just cant justify financing 20k on a 30k car while in school its just not smart
Penta...that was cool hearing about your test drives. I haven't been in a GTO but I bet they are awesome driving. I personally like the lines of a Nissan 350Z. But I have heard they are a little slow in factory form....but I have seen one with a Vortec supercharger.
I'm hopeing to sneek out a little early...
Lets try and put a quiky togather...p.s. I should realy try and spell better.....

I'll let you no.....

im here im here.....been really busy lately trying to track down a used tranny that wouldn't cost me an arm and my legs. Along with still working, going to school and all this rain and cold weather has made it very un-motivational to work on a car. Found one and guess what i'll be doing this weekend. Im thinking i can sneak away for a little bit from the car. Im in the O'Hare airport area in des plaines. Let me know and if its not too far, i'll be down for a quickie, and maybe some beers
It's my inlaws aniversary and I am told this is part of are gift..
So after the little B-party they can go out for a quit dinner and some dancing...
I'm not touching a diper thats all I had to say...
May be we can try again next time guy's.........

ive been using others cars as my DD. the gf has been kind enough to let me use the car while shes in the city at school. and my dads been outta town this week so i have his car. this is why i HAVE to do this this weekend, i need to have a car again.
Sorry things didn't work out to meet up with you. We had a terrible time with traffic due to Chicago and construction. The trip was supposed to take 7 hours and ended up being 9.5 hours to get out there. Needless to say, we didn't stop very much.
One upper was I got to drive Ed's Procharged C6 for 3 hours.
Wow.... I need one. It was raining so I couldn't get on it hard, but dang it got up and moved just easing into it. I only wish I could have had it during some dry times. I likey the C6 though...geesh, more cool buttons than my C5 had. We didn't end up racing though. Too much rain out there made for standing water on the track. We had a great party out there though! And I stood in my dream boat while we were there as well. It was a 51 foot Outer Limits with twin 1075 hp Merc's. He's trading up for triple 1075's next year.
I didn't know each one of those engines have twin superchargers on them. Hope the baby sitting went well.
