Avic Z1 question

well - kind of ..
It will not work unless you get the controller with it ...
Made the mistake ... had a customer who loved the Z1 -- wanted the added processor ...
did all the work ...
Then ..
NADDA ...
Pioneer then says, ohh- you need the controller to go with it .. and then you'll have to use it for all the functions ..
Took it all out ... and Promptly shipped it back to them- for credit ..
Lying dirtbags ..

I heard with the illumination hooked up, turn the headlight switch on and off 3 times, while in the loading screen immediately after turning on the ignition, and it will bypass the safety feature to watch video... heard any thing about that?

Yes it is true -
I also carry a part that does it with out having to flip the lights on /off.
It does depend on the build date - before July/06 no problem ...
After July/06 you need this part ..
simple 4 wire hook up
