Starting my christmass list early and now that I have found out you can buy a double din bezel for the C5 im thinking about getting a Nav system installed. I really like the AVIC-D1 and AVIC-D2 but neither can play dvd's. Are there any double din touchscreen nav units that also offer dvd playback and wont double my car payment?
I would look into kenwood, i believe that they have dvd-players built into some of their head units.
i'm pretty sure you can hack the avic to allow the aux input while driving by putting a pulsing relay circuit on the parking break lead. You'll still need a video source, a video ipod would work perfectly. just be careful, not only is having a movie playing in the front seat HIGHLY HIGHLY distracting, it's also highly highly illegal! i have the ability to play video on mine and i wouldn't even think about playing it for my passengers. i may just be a scatterbrain though.

The Pioneer AVIC D2 will also play DVD's but you have to hookup the DVD receiver to it. It comes out to be less expensive than the AVIC Z1 but requires a little more work hooking up.

Eclipse 5435. Plays DVD's. I know the installation guy very well and he by-passed the emergency brake "switch" in the unit so the Mrs. can watch CSI Miami while we drive to Florida
