Stealthbox for C6 Convertible
Yes, that's right....it's finally here!
Since the current Vette stealthbox doesn't fit in the convertible, JL decided to produce one that would. It consists of two enclosures, sitting right behind the seats along side the waterfall. It will house 2 JL 8w3v3s. These speakers are being released next month. I had the prototype installed today and let me tell you.............they absolutely rock! Very clean, very tight, and very powerful. On my way home I was going about 80 on I-95. Can't hear your stereo with the top down? You can now!
A brief recap on my system:
1. Head unit: Bose Nav
2. Signal: PAC AOEM-GM24
3. Remote turn on: Mini Add-A-Circuit.
4. Amps:
Front - JL 300/2
Subs - JL 250/1
5. Speakers:
Front - JL XR 650 CSi's
Subs - 2 JL 8w3v3's
6. Amp rack: two amps, two crossovers and power / ground distribution blocks.

Should be out in about a month or two.

It sure has been a slow, slow, slow, slow road! 
The project has been a lot of fun, though, and I'm glad I was able to participate. I told the guy down there that the next time he needs a car for a model, he can just keep it for a few weeks. He had suggested that initially, but I was reluctant. The back and forth is partly what slowed it down so much.
