Default bose out, need help 91 vert

After removing 3/4's of the interior of the car, The head unit and speakers are out, and the reciever has finally been found.

The wireing harness seems to be about 6 or 8 feet to long for where the reciever is located behind the glove box. It also has some rca connections I don't think I need. can I just shorten it and throw away what I don't need?

The bypass wireing harness is a metra 70-1857, it's the one that is said to fit. along with a lot of other gm cars.

wish me luck in figureing out where all those screws go when I put it back togeather. lol

tia

see ya on the road

Tom,
Did you rear the C4 FAQ's at the top of the page? Lots of good info there.
I did not use a wiring harness when I installed my HU. I just ran three wires over from the CDM, along w/ an antenna adapter, and it works well.
I don't think your wire harness will work, unless it is for the speakers? I ran new 14 gauge wire for my speakers.

Good luck

Randy
