Got a good deal on a new AVIC-Z2 and could not pass it up. Also have my Rockford Fosgate amps and now need to get a good sub (want something stealth so I can still use my trunk space - 01 MagRed Vert - 10 in the center compartment most likely) and speakers for the front and rear. Going for components in the front and very likely two ways for the rear. Still not sure what I want to do here. Have Polk's in my other ride and they sound very good but that was 5 years ago.
Not looking forward to modifying the center bezel to fit the double din radio ! Anyone know where I can buy a spare to work on? I want to have the original in case I change everything back in the future.
Is there a bypass for the Z2 yet that anyone knows of?
Polk still makes great speakers, the DB's, MOMOs, and SRs are all great speakers. Also check out edesignaudio.com they make some great equpiment as well at killer prices
As far as putting coaxials in the back I wouldnt even spend the money on them being a vert and all its worthless
Went on to AVIC411 and reading the forums there might be a bypass but it depends on the manufacture date - supposedly after June - looks like mine was manufactured in March - bummer.
I will probably still put two ways in the back - that way when the top is up it will give me some more depth - top down - probably will not make a difference.
Too many good speakers - too many good choices......
