I have the JL Stealthbox and can't say enough about it. Running a JL 250/1 amp through it and it sounds fantastic. It's very pronounced and crisp without sounding flabby or flat.
JL doesn't just come up with something that fits in the corner and that's that. They do their homework and come up with a design that takes account the car itself.
It's as if the whole interior of the car becomes a large enclosure for the sub. I know it sounds like an exaggeration, but anyone who has heard one of these knows they sound like you have a lot more back there than what you actually have. This is a great feature of something so stealth, yet so powerful.
No, they aren't cheap, but you get what you pay for.
Still waiting on a reply from Jonathan who handles the advertisements. Pm sent on our resistively tuned vented enclosure for the Tahoe center console. Will send other pm's Friday night when I can get back to the computer. Will take a few more pics of the enclosure this weekend. The best part is that you can choose which subwoofer you want to run in this one. So you can choose boom or sound quality or in between, we don't choose for you.
Looks good Rocky. I think I recognize that test vehicle.
Yeah Nick took pics of his enclosure in your car since it was at Rocky's. Nick is the one doing the enclosure, his shop is two doors down from Rocky. Its definately a nice looking box
I just stopped by Rocky's and see that he's selling them for $355 locally +tax. They can either be picked up or he can ship em +shipping cost. The box looks so much better than the POS JL stealth box and really incorporates the lines of the vehicle. I'm not sure about the different finishes though.
The eye in the internet sky is apparently blind as no vendor reply as of yet. Will post prices for all options Sunday along with more pics. I have been keeping tabs on who is interested... and that list is almost longer than the enclosures that will be ready to ship on the 22nd...
Thanks for all the orders, guys. From all the responces, I should have defined the pictures a little better:
The far enclosure is the gelcoat finish. It is straight out of the mould and is the "unfinished" option. It needs to be painted, covered in suede, or the finish of your liking.
The middle enclosure is the carpet option. It is not truevette carpet as that sample will not work for this application due to the hard backing, however it is the 2nd best carpet we could source to match. It is a shade lighter than factory carpet, but still looks great.
The near enclosure in the picture is the synthetic leather option. It is a near match in color and texture to the material on the top of the door panels. It looks great and really shows off the lines on the enclosure.
Please let me know if you have any more questions.
Pleae send me loaded pricing as well, but god I can't imagine all this excitement over a sub box that NOBODY has actually heard! Someone please post a review of the SOUND quality not the enclosure!
You don't 'hear' an enclosure. This enclosure/sub combination will sound different depending on what driver you choose to put in it. All that matters is that the enclosure is sealed, doesn't flex and the internal volume is known.

Well you shouldn't hear one at least, but sometimes you can.
