hey guys i just bought an aftermarket radio and i want to install it in my c5 corvette and i heard you need the soudgate to integrate it in to your bose speakers. is there any way around this or cheaper soultions
thanks bill
Sure, if you are handy with electronics and can design your own circuits you could make a box that does what the Soundgate adapter does.
I think that there are a couple of different adapters available... all cost about $100 or so.
Most people here will tell you to just replace your speakers instead of trying to run the adapter. At a $100 entry cost, you can buy some decent replacement speakers and it will sound much better that the Bose stuff.
