Default installing AUX input

I'm debating on whether to install L/R rca jacks or just go with a 3.5mm plug.

I've heard that RCA can be grainy-sounding, but 3.5mm kinda limits me.

Thoughts?

It's 6 of one, half-dozen of the other. They're just 2 different kinds of plus for exactly the same connection. 3.5mm is easier to use and there are plenty of adapter cables to connect standard 1/4" RCA jacks to the smaller connector.

I'd go with RCA for the sole reason that if you want to use a 1/8" stereo input, it's easier to find a 1/8"stereo-RCA than a RCA-1/8" stereo.

you only have to find the adapter once ;-)

go with what you'll use most. if you have an ipod then go with the rca's and use the doc connector for a line level output.

I do not have an IPOD. I'm not that up on my music.
I have a 512MB Sayno MP3 player, which is 3.5mm, or I use my LG Chocolate phone, which has a 2.5mm plug (easy enough to put into 3.5mm).

Although, as I searched around, I found it wouldn't be that difficult to have both RCA and a 3.5mm, just a few extra bits of wire.
I was looking into RCA simply for expandability (since most aftermarket heads use RCA).
I'll probably go with just a 3.5mm, as it'll make finding space to mount it in the dash. and make my own adapter. I am an Electronics Technician, might as well make use of that at home.

I have the Aux box, The sound is fine, no static or grainy sound. Sounds like a CD to me.
