I took it to primer and then took it to my neighbor's body shop that does high end cars and had him paint it plus allot of my plastic trim to match. It took a day and half to wet sand and polish it plus another day to prep, from my point and paint it. I only paid for labor and supplies and it still wasn't cheap. I just wish the factory paint looked this good. He's shop does great work and that is what you pay for. If you want a great paint job give Precision Auto, Body a call in OKC
The color is corvette Velocity Yellow.
Still needs some fine tuning and bugs worked out but here it is. What do you think?
I think these pictures don't do it justice.
It's a killer install, guys. The paint is perfect, the box is smooooooth, and it sounds really good!
I met you at the Riverwind show on Saturday, towards the end of the day before we all went inside for the awards. (I was in the red shirt with the horizontal stripe, wearing shorts.) I asked you what speakers you were running, and you gave me the details... then hit the volume for the crowd that had gathered.
I'm glad we got to meet. Our 'Non-Club' gets together on Wednesdays... tonight is Pearls Lakeside if you want to stop by.

I really enjoyed meeting everyone and I do plan on going to some of the Non-Club Club of Oklahoma runs. I even order one of the T- Shirts. I have been very pleased how well corvette owner get along and most have no egos.

That's exactly it. Friends of mine belong to the club that hosted the event... and as you probably witnessed, there are a LOT of egos in some of these clubs.
That's why the folks came up with the 'Non-Club Club' in the first place.
It's not about your ego.
It's not about how many points you get at shows.
It's not about how many races you were in this year.
It's not about how big your 'stable' full of cars is.
It's about being a Corvette owner, enjoying your car, and enjoying the company of people that love the cars. We have all kinds of people in the group, and it just works because it's all about the cars and having a good time.
No dues. No club president. No By-Laws. No egos. (Okay... maybe a couple, but we keep them in check.)
Did you see that our 'Non-Club Club' won the presentation for 'Club Participation' at the Riverwind show? Their club president spoke down to our club... nothing but attitude.
We modified the trophy to read, "Non-Club Club Participation."

Could you elaborate a little more on the sound deadening? What did you use where? 150 sq ft sounds like a lot.
Thanks,
Dave
The door uses allot DP how I did it. I put one layer of DP inside the door, and then covered it with luxury linear. Then I put one layer on outside the door then covered it with overkill. Thennnn I covered the backside of the door panel. All of the area under carpet is covered with DP and where I could with luxury linear. I was surprised how much it took too and had to reorder twice. You only want to do this once. People are amazed when they tap on the side of my doors and then theirs. It does add weight but I am pleased with the result. If I did it again I would replace my rear speakers with JL 8” base speakers. They do take a designated amp. Hope this helps, be glad to help any I can.
