wireharness c5 1998

Im trying to replace the factory head unit and nobody seems to know what wireharness to use with the 98 c5.
i have tried all the autoparts stores and best buy.
if anyone knows the stock number and/or link to a site that carries it would be greatly appreciated.

generic gm harness if you are going fully aftermarket. You can get it at Walmart for $6.

if you want to keep bose woofers in the door you need soundgate adapter, may i recommend reading the c5 faq

thanks for the reply, im new at this forum and dont know much about corvette audio.
i have scowered the basic faq stuff and didnt find what i was looking for, its also possible that i dont know what im looking for. never heard of the soundgate adapter. now thats another headache.

im trying to add my alpine deck to the c5, but im also trying to add a screen for camera, i think i might go with the flip out style from alpine or kenwood.

soundgate gmcrv1 the new model is gmcrv2 both do same thing

there are other adapters for less but this adapter is the most plug and play and trouble free one

is there enought room where the ash tray and cig. lighter are to mount a deck there?

There is a box of some sort currently located in that area (behind the ashtray). I don't know what that box does.

Air bag/Collision stuff. Best left alone.

People have mounted their A/C controls down in the ashtray area, so there is "some" room to play down there. You might want to try that and then mount a HU where the A/C controls were... just a thought.
