I have a 2002. I just have the stock AC Delco stereo with a single disc player and Bose speakers I just bought a Pioneer 12 Disc Changer from another C5 owner. I have seen written several places that all C5's have the wiring harness installed at the factory for the CD Changer Option. I have looked in my trunk area where it goes. I have not removed any carpet or panels yet tho. Is this true about the wiring and if so where is it located. If it is not true any ideas where to get/buy this harness? Many Thanks
Shanecfi: The 12 disc changer is an option and in both my 2000 FRC and my 2001 ZO6 there is not wiring harness . You don't say which C5 you have i.e. coupe, hardtop or 'vert. I don't believe the changer was even an option in my '01 come to think about it. Anyway I have installed the Delco /Pioneer 25685332 ***-m2016 12 disc CD palyer in both my C5s.
As far as a harness goes , I talked to Gene Culley , of GM parts house and he has never heard of a harness for our application. But good news, I did find an outfit that makes one that will plug into your changer and will hardwire into the fuse panel on the passengers side kick panel. I got it on Ebay http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...212725132&rd=1 You can contact them your self if there is not an auction on at this time . If this is not clear , just PM me, Dave
