I'm planning to mount my amp (PDX-5) behind the passenger seat. It looks like I'm going to have to drill through the firewall and grommet it for the power wire as I can seem to find a good pass-through?
Does anyone have a good recommendation for a solid ground in that area (behind the pass. seat)? Could I just go to the seat mount?
Do I just cut the stock positive battery terminal clamp and go with a multi-output model? I'm planning to use 4awg for amp power in addition to the stock power cable.
Finally any thoughts on using a circuit breaker over a fuse?
factory grommet is behind battery alot of ppl pass wire through it or drill there
there is a factory ground under the pannel on drivers and passenger sides behind the seat on the side of the car
This pic shows the factory grommet and also the hole I drilled to used a compression grommet, which is my water-proof-paranoia preference vs cutting the factory piece.
This shows the factory ground point on the B pillar on the passenger side. I roughed it to get better contact, then sprayed with undercoat after connecting everything up.

Is this ground point the same on all years for the C6, including the 2008?
