I installed a new head unit on my 200 convertable. All went fine except now warnings come on and read as follows:
1.Service tire monitor system
2.Service traction system
3.Reduced engine power
Gauges go crazy fuel gauge says empty when tank is full, oil pressure reads 0, temp gauge is maxed out. I power cycle the engine and warnings clear out for a few minutes and then come back. Ive tried erasing all codes in engine diagnostics and has been no help. There are several codes that list. can anyone please help?
start checking ur grounds, also im sure u used a standard gm wiring harness did u tape off the ignition wire in the dash since its a databus line if its shorting out etc it can do goofey stuff
I used an AXXESS Corvette amp intergration harness purchased from a local audio store. It was my understanding that when the bose radio is disconnected from the harness the pcm disconnects power to the radio. this harness i bought prevents that from happening, and retains the power to the radio once a door is opened after the key is removed. All works fine on the new H/U. I did not tap into power any where else besides the normal radio harness.
I almost think that it all may have something to do with the tire monitoring system. The tire alarm is displayed first after resetting all alarms. The rest of the alarms dont seem to trip until i get going about 50 or 55.
