Default Sound Deadening advice

I am installing Pioneer prs720s in the door, powered by a PDX5 amp. I have looked at raammat (www.raamaudio.com)and ensolite. Would raammat with ensolite be the combo to use for the doors here?

I mean, am I going to need sound deadening at all? The car is fiberglass...

I have been searching. I think I am understanding the difference between deadening and blocking, I just dont know what is the level at which you need to get sound deadening? Will your doors rattle with 6.5 components?

they might, they might not. making them heavy won't stop them from rattling.

I did my doors a couple of weekends ago with RAAMMAT and Ensolite. Very big improvement. On the outer skin 95% of it is covered in a single layer and I added a second layer to about 50% of that layer (RAAMMAT). Same for the Ensolite. The inner skin got about 95% of the RAAMMAT and Ensolite. If you look at their page for installation it about the same. I'm still working on the rest of the car slowly.

Also tell him you are a Corvette owner and he gives you a little discount.

I used RAAMAT BXT and Ensolite in my sound deadening project and besides being messy I think it's a good product for the money. I also used Dynamat Xtreme and Second Skin Damplifier. They made a huge difference in my car but I really went all out on the deadening.

I guess I am going to skip it for now. I don't feel comfortable with all the different parts, you've got sound deadening, sound blocking, and then rattling. I just dont want to be rattling down the street. I drive mainly just on the weekends with the top off, so I dont really care about road noise. From what I understand, I guess I dont really need sound deadening.

Yeah. If something rattles, glue it down with clear silicone or stuff some foam in it.

I recently added a stealth subwoofer into my 2004 C5 Coupe. I had a new box of Dynamat Extreme, and I used only 3 pieces in the rear deck area. I added it to the areas that echoed when I tapped with my finger. If the spot had a "thud", I didn't add any Dynamat.

I am totally amazed at the reduction in road noise and exhaust noise, just from a small amount of Dynamat Extreme. Plus, I'm sure it helps to have the center storage area completely filled with a big, heavy, carpeted sub box.

My car seems almost too quiet, lol

-. I am actually thinking of re-installing the Magnaflow exhaust, which I had taken off because it droned too loudly. It might be just right now!
