Default C6 sub setup for you guys (pics)

Ok first off I only had my camera on day 1 so I will have to get more pics from the finished install.

A local guy Glenn who has a batman Z06 came to me wanting to do a full system but didnt want a sub box in the back.

System Consists of:
Pioneer AvicZ2 (with Z3 harddrive upgrade)
Bluetooth
Ipod
XM Nav Traffic
Backup Cam

Alpine PDX5
Polk db351
Polk db521
Pioneer slim 8's

Naturally Glenn wanted every damn accessory for the pioneer which made fitting it all in the dash quite fun and im pretty sure there isnt room for another single wire. The ipod is ran to the center counsel as well as a switch is ran there to activate the backup camera whenever he wants to see behind him, but i believe there is an option to do this anyways from the avic. I picked up illumination at the hazard switch, VSS at the guage cluster, and reverse at the fuse box

We used pipedreams speaker plates and cut them bigger for an 8" woofer and mounted the pioneer slim 8s in the doors with some deadner behind them. In the upper location the polk db351s were installed. All new 12 ga was ran into each door (2 runs). Polk db521s were put into the rear location with new wire ran as well.

Being a Z06 the battery is in the passenger side cubby so the amp will reside in the drivers side cubby so all wiring heads that way running around the outter edges of the car, we didnt bring any wire down the middle or cut accross the back to avoid bulging the carpet out. Stinger rca's were ran as well as a single rca for the back up cam

So how does it sound. WOW the 8s in the doors esentially running IB sound amazing and pound quite nicely. The doors will have to come off for some more deadening probally cause when you really crank the subs up the door panels start to rattle specifically the grills, but at normal to somewhat loud levels they do not at all.

The whole system blends together pretty nicely, obviouslly a dedicated 10 and 6.5 components would probally sound better but I think this is a good solution for alot of guys out there who arent 100% audiophiles and want to retain some trunk space.

Im going to have him take some pics of the amp and radio as well as rear speakers since the back of the car isnt back together yet.

Feel free to ask or comment

How much of the outer skin did you insulate, just behind the speaker?
Do you ever insulate the entire inner skin so it would be right behind the door panel? I have a Pioneer head unit and am still trying to decide what speakers to run and now have another option.
