Are the 351 the fronts, and the 521 the rears?? Reason I ask is that I have seen the odd post that replacing the rears is a waste of time in that they don't contribute much to the sound in the vehicle??
I noticed the fronts are smaller than the Bose that come with the car?
Would there be a loss of bass if I don't add a sub-woofer?
I guess my question is:
"If I am only changing out my front and rear speakers, and not adding a sub, what aftermarket product will give me the best bang for the buck??" ( I would be willing to purchase or fabricate my own mounts to accomodate different size speakers if necessary)
There are 2 speakers in each door. A 3.5" twiddler powered by the stock amp and a larger subwoofer resembling speaker that is self amplified. This pic is of the C5 version, but C6 isn't too much different (size and the way it's mounted are changed, but it functions the same).
If you're keeping the stock amp and just looking to upgrade the 3.5" twiddlers for some better highs, the sub will still function just as it did before.
If you're installing an entirely new amp/speaker setup, then you'd be best off installing 6.5" components in the doors and a sub in the trunk.
