Default Delayed Blower Control Module

I've started the install of my new stereo system tonight. I got the door panels off, removed the stock Bose door speakers and removed the plastic cover in the passenger foot well. This module dropped out, it's a AC Delco 15-5876. I google'd it and it's a Delayed Blower Control Module. I also found out that they were installed to help dry out and keep dry the AC evaporator so there would not be moldy type smell from the AC. Many times I have hear the AC blower motor run for about 10 sec and I never knew why it was doing that. Do you guys think that this is something I need to keep installed. I don't really like the blower motor coming on by its self. Here's a pic.

What would you think that you will gain by removing it?

I've now read the service bulletin and it sounds like it is a good thing to have installed in humid areas. It also has a shut off if the battery gets below 12.5 volts. That was the part I worried about, running down the battery.

I'd leave it installed if I were you.

Actually, if you take it out and don't want it any more I'll take it off your hands
