I recently installed a new JVC KD-R810 stereo and then i blew my engine. I am now haveing a anoying clipping every few seconds when driving. I checked the ground on the unit and it is good. I have cleaned the ground on the new engine but it did not fix the problem. Any ideas? I thought at first it might be in demo mode but have changed that and am still haveing the issue? any and all help would be greatly appreciated.
I have grounded the heads, block and cleaned up all the grounds. Checked all the connections, changed the distributor cap.
The clipping is still there only when just started for the first 5 minutes the noice is more frequent. If you turn off the care the frequency goes back and after 5 minutes it is less frequent. HELP
Stereo shop checked everything out and only thing they could suggest was to run a separate ground from the altinator which they did. Still have the issue and no idea of where to go? Shop is stumped. Shop does not think the filter will help?
To date this is what has been done:
There is an annoying clipping I will call it coming from the speakers when the car is running and you are driving.
I have checked all connections and cleaned all grounds
I have bonded the intake to the head to the ground on the driver side rear
I have bonded the head to the block to the ground on the passenger side front
Cleaned main battery ground under car
Attached all grounds together behind dash
Changed distributor cap, changed spark plug wires
Grounded ignition box cover (passenger foot well)
Noise has gotten better less harsh of a cut out. After you drive the vehicle the noise is less frequent but once you turn the car off and restart it the noise comes back to original frequency and then again as you drive becomes less frequent.
Ran a ground from the alternator to frame
